SYNTHETIC AGGREGATE
CAT is a synthetic aggregate based on calcium aluminates with controlled granulometry. The combination of CAT and Electroland cement (CAC) is used to manufacture mortars and concretes with resistance to temperature and thermal shock cycles (up to 1,300°C), very high initial mechanical resistance and long durability thanks to its high resistance to abrasion. In addition, excellent durability against bacteriological and chemical corrosion (sulphates, chlorides and acids up to pH>3.5) is achieved.
