Recycled aggregates are materials obtained from the crushing of construction and demolition waste. At PROMSA’s Alternative Raw Materials plant, we collect hardened concrete and other materials from construction and demolition waste, which we then separate and crush to obtain quality recycled aggregates.

The use of recycled aggregates for the manufacture of concrete presents a significant technical challenge, due to the fact that the characteristics of these can vary significantly. PROMSA has taken all the steps to meet the technical requirements by obtaining the CE marking, issued by APPLUS, which allows us to use the coarse recycled aggregates for the manufacture of concrete, mortar and granular layers.

We also have the voluntary A+ mark, which certifies that the coarse aggregates comply with the requirements of the Structural Code for the use of concrete, a standard that will replace EHE-08 from November 2021.

At PROMSA, we are prepared to supply structural and cleaning concrete with recycled aggregates throughout the metropolitan area of Barcelona.
