Industrial building flooring with HRR >> 25 MPa in 48h for COMERSID STEEL S.A.

For this project in the Zona Franca industrial estate (Barcelona), concrete from the PROMSA TECH family was supplied to reconstruct a pavement in the heavy lorry area of an industrial building, with HRR 48h–>25Mpa.

The work was a pavement repair of 3.365m2 with the application of PROMSA. The HRR>>25/48, with a thickness of 15cm and structural polymeric fibres, avoiding the use of electro-welded mesh, making cuts in tablets every 25 m2.
The preparation of the substrate consisted of partial milling of the old pavement, cleaning of debris and application of a bonding bridge between the base and the new pavement layer.
The application was carried out on 4 evenings in August, from 18-23h (due to the high temperatures and high insolation in August), making daily patches of more than 850m2 and thus minimising the dehydration of the concrete and the rapid surface drying of the pavement.
Given the rapid development of strength at short ages, it is essential that the pavement is cured correctly within hours of application. The most efficient curing is the traditional one, with continuous watering on top of the new pavement. The supply has been carried out from the Promsa Zona Franca headquarters.
