Since July 2017, PROMSA ÁRIDOS has been supplying the UTE ACCIONA COPCISA Todo uno-core and breakwaters, necessary for the extension of the adjoining quay and the construction of a new multi-purpose terminal for the berthing of ships in the Port of Barcelona. The planned volume to be supplied is 420,000Tn in 5 months.

The extension of the adjoining quay is executed by dredging the sludge from the seabed to a depth of 30m and in its place the dumping of all the core and breakwaters is carried out by means of a ship carrying 1000Tn per trip, thus creating a foundation base to anchor large prefabricated concrete caissons of 40x20x20m with a weight of 6,000Tn, on top of which a barrier is created, gaining ground to the sea and forming a large surface for the new berthing terminal.In order to transport the material from the quarry to the port, a fleet of more than 150 trucks has been recruited, which has been a great challenge to make daily deliveries of 7,000Tn.
