Carlos Raich, general manager of Molins, has been appointed new president of ANEFHOP.

Carlos Raich, managing director of Molins, has been appointed by ANEFHOP as the new president of the association for a period of two years.

The Spanish National Association of Ready Mixed Concrete Manufacturers (ANEFHOP) has appointed Carlos Raich Cabarrocas, current managing director of Molins, as the new president of the association for a period of two years.

This appointment took place at the Board of Directors meeting held on 19 October at the CEOE headquarters in Madrid.


“The sector is facing new challenges that we have to face, so raising our voice and showing the importance of #concrete in the Spanish economy is key to our development,” said Carlos Raich.

Carlos Raich, who replaces Albert Gómez in the position, where he has expressed his willingness to continue to jointly face the challenges facing the sector, now in recovery after the crisis generated by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Among the challenges he faces is the implementation and compliance with Royal Decree 163/2019 by all concrete batching plants to bring them closer to European standards, as well as greater collaboration with national and regional administrations to support the recognition of certificates. He also stressed the importance of the recent Structural Code, the importance of sustainability and the reduction of CO2 levels in all production and delivery processes, and the fight against unfair competition in the sector.

Carlos Raich expressed that “being president of an association with the trajectory, commitment and dedication of ANEFHOP is a source of pride. The sector is facing new challenges that we have to face, so raising our voice and showing the importance of concrete in the Spanish economy is key to our development. Now more than ever, showing unity of action and projection is fundamental for the association”.

Carlos Raich had previously been president of the ANEFHOP Management Committee in Catalonia, as well as of the Industry Sustainability Committee, having participated in important initiatives of the association such as the Hormigón Expert seal.
