High-strength concrete

Superior to any conventional concrete, it can achieve a compressive strength between 50 and 130 MPa, using Molins’ technology and precise formulation.

Field of application

  • Pillar construction in high-rise buildings.
  • High slenderness bridge deck.
  • Bridge piers and beams.
  • Concrete subjected to aggressive environments.
  • Singular structures.

Advantages

  • High compressive strength, less deformation, less weight of the structure itself.
  • Resistance to corrosion and abrasion, due to its lower porosity and higher density.
  • More impermeable than standard concrete.
  • Superior fire resistance. Avoids a structure having to undergo a specific fireproofing process.
  • Allows formwork to be removed in a shorter period of time than usual.
  • Same load-bearing capacity in less thickness. The required dimensions of the structure and weight are reduced, providing more usable space. For example: in bridges over rivers, fewer pillars would be required, so that the execution would be more economical and quicker. And once the bridge is built, it would present less of an obstacle to the passage of water.
  • It is used in building and public works.

Application system

It is applied in the same way as conventional concrete: by direct pouring, bucket or pumping. Formwork similar to conventional concrete.

Technical characteristics
