AMAZON Logistics Centre

In 2017, Promsa faced the challenge of supplying Amazon’s new logistics warehouse in El Prat de Llobregat.

It took several months to supply the foundations for the slab, the largest (size and volume) that Promsa has ever supplied: 32,000 m3 at a rate of 500 m3 per day, supplied from the Zona Franca and Pallejá concrete plants.

The paving phase, 50,000 m2 of screed on the foundation slab, with controlled shrinkage concrete and high planimetry finish.

150.000m2 of compression layer on the hollow core slabs of Precon (a company of the Ciments Molins group), a concrete with lower planimetry requirements, but with the handicap of thickness (7/10cm).

For the urbanisation phase (drainage, services, accesses and lorry parking platforms) more than 7,000m3 of flexotraction concrete has been supplied.

Finally, in the office area, 2,000 m2 of self-levelling mortar was supplied.
