Our different fibre-reinforced repair mortars

Find out all about Fibre-reinforced Repair Mortar

Molins has a range of cement-based mortars reinforced with fibres, among the various technologies designed to repair existing structures. These mortars are materials with very specific properties that we detail below.

In our company, with almost a century of history and a huge experience in innovation and technology for concrete repair, we have a wide range of solutions and mortars for concrete repair and reconstruction works.

We offer maximum adhesion to the substrate, versatility, speed, durability and excellent workability, factors that together make our products leaders in quality and efficiency. Do you want to know what they are? Read on because here we tell you all about them.

Characteristics of fibre-reinforced repair mortar

In this post of the Molins Blog, we explain all the characteristics of the Fibre Reinforced Repair Mortar: discover our wide range of products.

The main characteristics of a fibre-reinforced mortar include:

  • Its high thixotropy, allowing applications in high thicknesses.
  • Shrinkage control, minimising the risk of cracking.
  • The use of fibres combined with special attention to the granulometry ofthe mortars allows us to obtain surface finishes similar to those of the original concrete.
  • Facilitates application by spraying, providing a high degree of cohesion in the fresh mortar paste during loading. Avoiding loss of material due to rebound or sagging effect.
  • Excellent workability.

In previous Molins posts we have already provided the keys to choosing the most suitable mortar and explained the difference between structural and non-structural concrete repairs. In the case of non-structural repairs, we have PROPAM® REPAR TECHNO 20 (sulforesistant mortar reinforced with fibres for the repair of concrete) and PROPAM® REPAR 20R (for fast setting and hardening repairs in 2 hours).

Clear your doubts about sulforesistant mortars with this post.

Both with maximum reliability and efficiency and are recommended for the cosmetic reconstruction of beams and pillars: edges, cracks… Or for aesthetic repairs of balcony fronts, half reeds, repair, smoothing and renovation of facades, concretes and mortars, among many others.

On our website, you will find complete audiovisual information – as with all our other products – with very precise instructions on how to apply the repair mortar efficiently.
