The IDAE grants a subsidy for the replacement of diesel forklifts with electric ones at the Quer factory (Guadalajara).

The Institute for Energy Diversification and Saving (IDAE) has agreed to grant financial aid for the replacement of forklift trucks with diesel combustion engines by others with electric motors for the Molins de Quer factory (Guadalajara). The subsidy will be used for the purchase of 3 electric forklifts. This operation will make it possible to replace the current consumption of fossil fuels such as diesel in the process of internal logistical movements of the factory with electric energy.

The Molins project generates significant environmental benefits. Once fully operational, energy savings of 10.14 tonnes of oil equivalent (toe)/year have been achieved, avoiding the emission of 31.82 tonnes ofCO2 into the atmosphere each year.

The IDAE’s financial support amounts to €23,952.60, financed through the aid programme for energy saving and efficiency in SMEs and large companies in the industrial sector. This programme is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), coordinated by the IDAE and managed by the Directorate-General for Energy Transition – Department of Sustainable Development of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, with the aim of achieving a cleaner and more sustainable economy.

The IDAE is the entity of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, in charge of contributing to the energy transition process and the achievement of the country’s objectives in terms of improving energy efficiency, renewable energies and other low-carbon technologies.
