Molins completes the takeover of Tecnoresil

Find out all about Propamsa's acquisition of Tecnoresil.

On 1 December, Molins has taken a major step in the expansion of its area of activity, completing the absorption of Tecnoresil, a company specialising in chemical products for industrial flooring. In this way, Molins integrates into its solutions an additional and differentiating element in the value chain.

Paints, mortars, self-levelling products and natural quartz sands are some of the solutions that Tecnoresil has been manufacturing and marketing for more than 20 years. With its absorption, Molins not only expands its catalogue of construction materials, but also adds a new range of products to the Cementos Molins family, which is growing towards the continuous flooring and chemical solutions sector.

Molins expands its comprehensive vision of construction with the chemical sector

In the words of Celia Pérez, director of Global Building Solutions, “thanks to this operation, Molins reinforces the strategy of expanding the range of solutions for the construction industry that Cementos Molins is following. The incorporation of new products that complement our current solutions will give rise to new market opportunities, generating synergies with a more technical customer target and providing greater value to consultative sales”.

In addition, the takeover of Tecnoresil will boost the sector and add a new market to the wide range of services and solutions offered by Cementos Molins through its subsidiaries. The Catalan company, with almost one hundred years of history, has several business areas and companies specialising in different areas of construction.

Tecnoresil and Molins, Shaping the Future of Construction

It currently has offices and headquarters spread across four continents, with a team of 3,724 people and a turnover of 1,072 million euros in 2022. A significant proportion of these figures is contributed by Molins, which has 143 employees and special mortar factories spread throughout Spain, with its headquarters in the Catalan town of San Vicenç del Horts.

In addition to the economic value, the completion of this process by which Molins and Cementos Molins acquire Tecnoresil is a qualitative leap in their search for excellence in the construction sector. With this broader vision of the entire production process, Molins complements its catalogue of products and services, providing a 360º offer to its customers.
