What is Cablegrout? Technical applications and more

In this post, we tell you all about the Cablegrout.

This month, in the Molins blog, we analyse a type of mortar that meets a very specific demand from our customers in the field of fillings, anchoring and injections and that has numerous applications that we detail below: Cablegrout.

We list all its properties and main advantages, although in our company we have a highly qualified and specialised team that accompanies you from the beginning to the end of your project and can solve any technical question about our products. It is not in vain that we have been building with you for more than 90 years!

What is a Cablegrout?

Cablegrout mortar is a very fine-grained fluid that, thanks to its high fluidity and long open time, can be injected and poured in different situations. From injections in soil and rocks, to in concrete, under slabs or in fissures.

Thanks to the aforementioned characteristics, its high strength and high adhesion, it is used for filling sheaths and post-tensioned cables, for soil consolidation, anchor fixing and crack filling in building and civil engineering elements.

Characteristics of cable grout anchors

Cablegrout is a product that has a number of advantages and it is these advantages that make it ideal for anchorages.

Some of these characteristics are that it has a high adhesion, especially to steel and concrete. In addition, it does not contain chlorides and together with the high pH value, it protects the anchored element from corrosion.

On the other hand, it has no shrinkage and contains high initial and final mechanical strengths. It also has the enormous advantage of being easy to apply by pouring, pumping or injection.
