TUTORIAL: How to make a lime stucco with REVAT® CAL NATURE?

Welcome to our step-by-step tutorial on how to make a lime stucco:

  1. Start with a ready surface: For your stucco to adhere perfectly, the surface must be clean, dry and dust-free. If you detect any cracks or flaking, it is essential to repair them before continuing.
  2. Prepare your stucco mixture: Take the required amount of REVAT® CAL NATURE and combine it with water in a container until a uniform mixture is obtained.
  3. Application: Use a trowel to spread the stucco over the prepared surface. For a smooth finish, trowel repeatedly over the same area. If you are looking for a Venetian stucco finish, move the trowel in different directions to create the desired effect.
  4. Patience while drying: Allow the stucco a minimum of 24 hours to dry. Avoid drying too quickly, as this could weaken the mixture.
  5. Polishing for perfection: Once dry, use a bevelled trowel to polish the stucco, smoothing out any irregularities and achieving a consistent finish.

Don’t forget that you are working with lime, a material that allows transpiration and is ecologically sustainable.
