28 June 2021_CementosMolins has completed the formalities for the acquisition of a white cement facility from the Çimsa group, thereby strengthening its presence in Spain. This is a white cement unloading and dispatch terminal located in the port of Alicante, with a silo with a storage capacity of 10,000 tonnes, which will allow Cementos Molins to supply a volume of white cement of more than 50,000 tonnes per year. In parallel, the operation will help consolidate the white cement export market of its subsidiary in Tunisia, where Cementos Molins has an annual production capacity of 700,000 tonnes of white cement, which it distributes to more than 15 countries.
With this new operation, we incorporate white cement into Cementos Molins’ integrated business model in Spain, with a wide range of portland cement, aggregates, concrete, mortars, prefabricated products, calcium aluminate cement, urban environment and waste recovery, and we strengthen our position as a supplier of construction solutions and materials,” explains Julio Rodríguez, CEO of Cementos Molins.
