Fresh Concrete

Field of application

• Mass: walls, paving in light traffic areas. Creation of dikes in the form of dams for harbours, counterweights in cranes or filler concretes.
• Reinforced concrete: building structures, bridges or other works. Used in foundations, slabs, columns, walls, screens, piles, etc.
• Pre- and post-tensioned concrete: in elements that are manufactured on site and subsequently installed at the point of use: beams, bridge decks, walls, etc.

Advantages

Concrete in its fresh state is a mouldable material, which allows it to adapt to any geometric shape.

• Mass concrete: quick and easy to apply with a small team of people. Homogeneity of the product and ease of transport to the point of use.
• Reinforced concrete: its specific formulation, and placement on site together with the reinforcement, provides resistance to compression and the necessary traction to transfer its characteristics to the structures.
• Pre- and post-tensioned concrete: allows for customised profiles on site. It provides the same load requests, with a smaller beam section, gaining in free space. It is the cleanest and quickest way to build a structure.

Application system

• Mass concrete: is that which is placed in a formwork, without reinforcement and has compressive strength.
• Reinforced concrete: requires internal reinforcement to provide tensile strength.
• Pre- and post-tensioned concrete: used to form a precast element, applying tension to the reinforcement before or after the concrete is poured into the mould.

In all cases, the concrete can be poured directly by bucket or pump.
