• Sub-base for industrial buildings, roads, repair and conditioning of roads, outdoor parking, gardening.

Advantages

Maximum control from the origin to the finished product:

• It is manufactured in an iron and steel black slag valorisation plant, designed and built by Molins, located within the facilities of the company Megasa, in the municipality of Zaragoza. The scrap, which comes from the manufacture of steel and other 100% recycled metal products, is transformed back into steel by means of a melting process in an electric arc furnace.
• At the Molins plant, recovery is carried out: magnetic separation of the metallic fraction incorporated in the slag, which is returned to the furnace. The slag is crushed and classified by size, thus obtaining the Steel Aggregate.

High performance and sustainable quality:

• High resistance to freezing or thawing in areas with extreme temperatures.
• Affinity with bituminous binders: very suitable for asphalts, wearing courses, etc.
• High resistance to particle polishing and crushing: suitable for wearing courses, even those with high demands, as well as industrial warehouse pavements with machinery movement.
• High density, pigmentation: suitable for landscaping, it provides the dark colour without the risk of being easily blown away by the wind.
• Product with environmental labelling type II (eco) ISO 14021 guaranteed by TÜV:
  • Resistance and permanence over time – Long life product.
  • Recycled material and recycled content.
  • Recyclable material.
  • Waste reduction.

Application system

• The same procedure as for conventional aggregates, which can be substituted.
